This Privacy Policy describes how PromptPad (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS application and keyboard extension (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Interpretation and Definitions

Application means the PromptPad iOS app and keyboard extension.

Device means any device that can access the Service, such as an iPhone or iPad.

Personal Data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

Service Provider means any company or individual that processes data on our behalf.

Usage Data means data collected automatically when you use the Service.

Information We Collect

Personal Data

When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive:

Your Apple-assigned user identifier
Your name and email address (only if you choose to share them with Apple)

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

Device type, iOS version, and app version
Which AI model you have selected in settings
Shortcut preferences and settings you configure

Text You Type

When you trigger an AI shortcut from the keyboard:

The selected or typed text is sent directly to your chosen AI provider (e.g., OpenAI) to process your request
PromptPad does not store, log, or retain this text. It is forwarded to the AI service and discarded immediately after the result is returned.
If you use Apple Intelligence, all processing happens entirely on your device and no text ever leaves it.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Authenticate your account and keep it secure
Sync your shortcut settings and preferences across devices
Process in-app purchases and manage your subscription status
Improve the Service and fix issues
Respond to your support requests

Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with the following services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Settings and sync data: Stored securely and deleted upon account deletion.
Text content: Never retained — processed in real time and discarded immediately.
Purchase records: Retained by RevenueCat per their data retention policy.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Delete your account and associated data
Correct inaccurate information
Opt out of data processing where consent is the legal basis

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:

Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
Secure, access-controlled storage for account data
No storage of your typed text at any point in the process

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Children’s Privacy

PromptPad is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Links to Other Services

The Service may reference third-party AI providers or websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services and encourage you to review their individual policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
